Location and Hotel

The Mandarin Oriental Washington DC is located in close proximity to the main sites of DC and looks directly over the Tidal Basin, the Jefferson Memorial and the Washington Monument. Popular venues within five-ten minutes walking distance from the hotel:

Constitution Hall – 1929 building, now a special performances venue.

John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts - six theatres form the Nation’s performing arts center.

National Theatre - 160 years old, an historic venue reputedly with its own ghost.

The National Mall - a two mile long, green mall with stately views towards the US Capitol.

Waterside Promenade - Just outside the hotel is the Southwestern Waterfront, enjoy a peaceful stroll past the yachts and houseboats or visit one of the many seafood restaurants. Beyond the promenade is a seafood market where the day-catch is sold from floating barges.
